When I came to Elizabeth I was desperately sick – dealing with a severe flare of Autoimmune disease (Ulcerative Colitis) as well as dealing with side effects from being treated with strong medication such as Prednisone. Among my long list of symptoms were colon inflammation, weight loss, joint pain, swollen ankles and extreme fatigue. My GI doctor wanted me to get yet another colonoscopy and start Remicade infusions. I was not willing to accept immune suppressing medications as a permanent solution to my illness and I am glad I didn’t. With Elizabeth’s treatment I was able to calm my immune system, stop the symptoms and recover and heal completely. Her combination of acupuncture, homeopathy, nutritional advice and Chinese Herbal remedies is allowing me to keep my chronic illness in remission and live completely free from any medication. She has also helped me improve my hormonal health and get rid of PMS. I am forever thankful!

My experience with Elizabeth Astor has been nothing but positive—probably the single best thing I’ve done for my physical and mental wellbeing. I would not hesitate to recommend Elizabeth to anyone. She’s a truly gifted practitioner of acupuncture, medically intuitive and an expert homeopath. I was first referred to Elizabeth through a very good friend who had great success seeing Elizabeth with issues around food intolerance and hormonal imbalance. At the time (some 3 years ago) I was experiencing frequent bouts of diarrhea, bloating and stomach burning and pain. I was afraid that I might have an ulcer and would need to see a GI specialist. I was taking Tums and Pepto Bismal to try and alleviate the symptoms. Through Elizabeth’s acupuncture treatments and herbal supplements, tailored for me, we were able to get these symptoms under control—and mostly gone–within 4 to 8 weeks. She also helped me to identify the foods that were causing me the most problems and inflammation.
The digestive problems were what originally brought me to Elizabeth but through our work together, Elizabeth also helped curb my symptoms of perimenopause. I was having regular night sweats and hot flashes during 2014 and I mentioned it at an appointment, as it was getting in the way of enjoying life. My hot flashes were sometimes as frequent as 6 or more times an hour. Elizabeth prescribed herbs that, within days, helped get my hot flashes under control and nearly eradicate them. Even now, as soon as I start having hot flashes and night sweats, I return to the supplement and find quick relief.
Lastly, during my treatment with Elizabeth, I had an ultrasound showing that I had uterine cysts that were affecting me by making it seem that I had to go to the bathroom urgently when I didn’t because of pressure on the bladder from the cysts. I had been contemplating my options of having the cysts removed through laser surgery but was reluctant to have this done so mentioned it to Elizabeth who suggested we try to treat it through acupuncture and herbs. We did and I am happy to report that I didn’t need to go the surgical route and the cysts are not getting in the way of enjoying life and getting a good night’s rest
We are temporarily located in London currently and Elizabeth is one of the things I most miss about Boulder! I have not even tried to replace her and look forward to returning to her practice just as soon as possible.

Elizabeth has been the singularly most effective healer over the last 15 of my healing journey – physical, spiritual and emotional. Elizabeth Astor is a truly intuitive healer!! I had been suffering greatly, with back, neck and upper rib injuries. In a state of chronic pain, I sought treatment from many health professionals, of all backgrounds and philosophies, but with no results. My pain was beginning to control my life! I began to miss work. Simply standing on my feet became such a difficult task that I would start to perspire. I was truly beginning to feel desperate. That’s when Elizabeth began to care for me.
