This treatment is wonderful for chronic low back pain that gets worse when it is cold or damp outside. It is also excellent for pulling old fear and stagnant emotions out of the spine and kidneys, which are the organs that hold fear in Chinese medicine.

How it is done:

Get 4-5 lbs of crystal rock salt (the kind used to make ice cream is best). These are usually sold in a bag that has an ice cream cone on it. Like this one.
Heat the salt on a non-aluminum cookie sheet or pan in the oven. Stainless steel is also ok.
Heat the salt until the heat radiates back at you. Usually 15 minutes at around 400 degrees.
Stir occasionally in a clockwise direction. If it is being heated too fast it will snap and pop at you.
Pour the salt into an old pillowcase. Careful, they are hot! Smooth it out flat and wrap it up like a giant, flat burrito in a towel. Fold it so the salt can’t come out.
Lie down on top of it, so that both of your kidneys are being radiated by its warmth. Allow the warmth of the salt to permeate and nourish your kidneys. Allow the salt crystals to pull out old fear and toxins.
After 40 minutes of resting in this way dispose of the salt.
Some healers suggest drinking parsley tea afterwards.
You can repeat up to 3x a week until the healing purpose has been felt.

Of all of the people in my life, I feel most seen and supported by Elizabeth. She listens to, intuits, and understands her clients at a very deep spiritual, physical, as well as psychological level.  Elizabeth has supported me in listening to and following my own intuition and inner knowing, and has helped me become more whole, present and well. Her work is powerful, profoundly helpful, and healing. She has had extensive training in many different healing modalities, as well as meditation and spiritual study, and she brings all of this experience to her patients and teachings in very accessible ways.  She is a very grounded, down to earth and relatable human who practices and implements all of the techniques she uses to support her clients in her roles as a powerful healer, spiritual teacher and mother.  Elizabeth has been my primary support for recovering from multiple chronic physical issues, as well as through divorce and family of origin issues, and has helped me learn how to better ground and nourish myself in all my roles at home and at work. She nourishes my psychological and spiritual growth and continues to support my life in many profound and unexpected ways. I consider Elizabeth to be one of my greatest teachers.
